I have realized the project where I targeted to manipulate the meaning of ‘space’ at inner and outer parts of the Sinop Prison. A series of wedding photographs of the bride and groom were taken by a local wedding photographer. In this prison, which is associated with Sinop’s history of exile and torture, I aimed to question and re-define the real meaning of ‘space’ while revealing the physical and emotional relationship with the couple. This photography project was designed to be exhibited on the shop-window of the local photographer as well as in a deserted hotel in the city center. Besides, a wedding scrapbook was prepared with a selection of the photos.
