Olivier Hölzl

Sinopale 5, “Clusters and Crystals: Observing at Point Zero”
Curator: Işın Önol

The book SINOPAILE is about the life of Sinopean people – old pictures of a theatre company, of an orchestra and of Prof. T. Melih Görgün’s aunt and uncle – were the starting point of this project. Through the process, the people working at Hal Binası became part of the book. It’s a piece about the little things in life like feelings, friendship, everyday humor and all those details that make a common day different.

Olivier Hölzl’s work is characterized by the combination of image and text, the imminent, associative richness of which the artist exploits. Starting point of LIVIL’s work are often group photos depicting individuals in a family, in a company or other such social setting.
