In a follow-up to Eşref Yıldırım’s participatory performance entitled The Prison for Minor Offenses that was released at Sinopale 5 in 2014, we would like to conduct a collective brainstorming session about the minor offenses that we commit, repeat or witness in our daily lives. We live in an environment in which people are punished for non-existing offenses, while real criminals get away with their crimes without punishment, and some crimes are evenly openly praised and supported. We would like to examine our own acts when we participate in crimes, and together imagine possibilities for coexisting in a better way by reducing some of these behaviours.

Every single artwork produced for Sinopale holds within it a memory of the city and traces of the research and making processes that brought it about. Information collected by artists often materializes in a semi-abstract language of the art object; other, while not used, still becomes an integral part of collective knowledge-making.
