The work “emptiness of attention” consists of a black cube. On its upper side, there is a rectangular opening, where a rotating architectural model can be seen. The model alternately shows interior and facade views of a house. The endless movement of inside and outside gets recorded by a video o camera and the resulting images get projected to the wall of the gallery in real-time. “emptiness of attention” concerns itself with the relation of film and architecture. The film transforms architecture by montage and its choice of sequence and thus creates a new kind of architecture in the medium. “emptiness of attention” tries to reverse this process and uses film montage as a template for an architectural model.
