For the lecture, by highlighting the processes of Sinopale, Cevdet Erek deals with the phenomenon of “the response of a place to a sound”, a notion that we know but perhaps are not able to define. The lecture is based on his work “ÇIN”, exhibited in the 57th Venice Biennial, 2017. Cevdet Erek reminds us of looking beyond what we see or hear.
